butttt first let me answer your questions!!! okay soooo there isnt
really a "typical p-day" hahah the only consistent thing is
emailing... and buying grocerys and doing laundry ahha but never in
the same order! hah last night we were on shift at the trail center,
so instead of driving home, we slept over at the trail center leaders
house to save miles. so we are emailing today at the trail center
ahha. we are allowed to stay here on pday though, and watch like 17
miracles or meet the mormons, or some of the other movies we have
here! So far we havent had any time to watch movies... :( haha sooo
yeah thats p-day.. Sister Hyde has been out for almost a year! Her
year mark is January 31!!! yayyy! shes seriously the best :) she is
the only girl and has three brothers (bless her heart) We only have
about an hour to email! Stressful! We do cook! especially because when
we are at the visitors center we have to bring our own food! But we do
try and eat with the members as much as we can so we can get to know
them and get them excited about missionary work.
OKAY BEST WEEK WANNA KNOW WHY? So our investigator matt... is so
great! but he has been meeting with the missionaries for about 8 weeks
and has come to church 6 times! he was just really struggling to
commit and pray to know for himself! but he finally did... and he
COMMITTED TO BAPTISM! He is getting baptized on January 2!!! He needs
to stop smoking, but he doesnt smoke a ton, but please keep him in
your prayers to help him during this hard time! He is going to face
lots of challenges as he is making this life changing commitment! I am
so excited for him because he is so ready!!
This week we also went on exchanges! i was suuuper nervous for
exchanges and to be with the trail center leaders! They are incredible
missionaries! But i learned sooo much! I've really really been trying
hard this week to be better at listening to the spirit! And relying on
its promptings. Can i just tell you how GREAT the spirit is? Heavenly
Father is literally in every crack of our lives.
The Church as and amazing campaign i REALLY HOPE you've been able to
check out! It's called A Savior Is Born. Christmas.mormon.org is such
a great tool!!! Please go look at it! And invite others to go look at
it! Our church is sooo so great!! such amazing things happening, and
how lucky that we get to be a part of it!! I feel so blessed to serve
in the trail center and interact with so many people. It has been so
great to learn from so many people. EVERYONE has something inside of
them they can offer. Look at yourself.. what is something YOU can
offer to all those around. you. Sharing the gospel seems so hard, but
it can be so easy. Make time to do it!
Okay well I love you so so much!! I hope your week is wonderful! Youre
in my thought and prayers!! LOVE YOU
SISTER ORTON :)
The cutest sisters i get to serve with!
just typical me...:)
